There Once was an Aussie Black Tri

Dear Diary,
Today is National Limerick Day.  I thought it would be really cool to have our contest this month (on The Sensible Dog) be a limerick writing contest.  I love what ever contest we do because I get to choose the winner. (I told you about that on March 2.)  Anyway, Mom didn’t like the idea.  She say that some people would write “naughty” rhymes.

Here is my limerick – it is about my being “naughty”.  Do you think that’s what Mom meant?

There once was an Aussie black tri
Who really did think he could fly.
So, he jumped in the air,
Thinking no one would care.
He hit Mama and did make her cry.
